Is this an official KLM app?
No. Crew Lounge is an independent personal project built by crew, for crew. It's not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
Is it free?
Yes. Completely free. No ads, no premium tier, no selling your data. It runs as a passion project.
What airlines are supported?
Right now, KLM only. The signup is restricted to @klm.com email addresses to keep the community focused and verified. If there's strong demand from other carriers, we'll consider opening up.
How does my data stay private?
Everything is hosted in the EU on Supabase and Vercel. We use row-level security so users can only see what they are explicitly allowed to see. We never share, sell, or use your data for advertising. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
Who can see my schedule?
You choose. There are three modes: open matching (anyone with an overlapping layover at the same city), full friends (only accepted friends see all your layovers), and overlaps friends (friends only see layovers that overlap theirs). Default is friends-only.
Can I delete my account?
Yes — from the Profile page, anytime. All your personal data is removed within 30 days, in line with GDPR.
How do I find my iCal URL?
When you sync your calendar in the app, a guided modal walks you through grabbing the iCal URL from your KLM crew calendar. It only takes a minute.
Is there a mobile app?
A native iOS app is in active development. In the meantime the web app is a mobile-first PWA — add it to your home screen and it behaves like a native app, including push notifications.
How do notifications work?
When a friend's layover overlaps with yours at the same city, you both get a notification. If you've enabled push (after adding the app to your home screen on iOS, or via the browser prompt on Android/desktop), it arrives as a push. Otherwise it shows up in the in-app notifications list.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
Email support@crewlounge.nl — it goes straight to a real person who reads everything. You can also use the in-app feedback form on the Profile page.
